However, a new viral video portraying a fight between visitors and rafting guides in Rishikesh has tarnished the reputation of this famous tourist destination.
The video was uploaded with the remark, “Tourists came for rafting, and boatmen fought. As a result, several individuals were harmed. This footage of the battle on the Ganges has gone viral in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand.”

“Tourists should not be treated like this; then what do you want to say about your country?” replied one individual.
“I went river rafting with several pals in Rishikesh once. Our boatman was kind, respectful, and had a profound regard for the river. I’m not sure what happened here, but the visitors are likely to have caused some disturbance,” remarked another user.
“Based on what I heard about this occurrence,. The visitors were drinking alcohol on the riverbanks despite being advised not to. When questioned, they began verbally abusing others, which resulted in them getting beaten up,” wrote a third user.
