‘You never see him among strong, bright women,’ Mark Cuban remarked of Trump on ‘The View.’
The Trump campaign is attacking billionaire Mark Cuban, a prominent surrogate for Vice President Kamala Harris, for making “extremely insulting” statements about women who support former President Trump, urging the vice president to “immediately condemn” his remarks.
Cuban made the statements during his appearance on ABC’s “The View” on Thursday morning.
“You seldom see Donald Trump with strong, intellectual women. “Ever,” Cuban said. “It is simply that simple. They are scary to him. He does not appreciate being questioned by them.
Trump campaign national press secretary Karoline Leavitt criticized Cuban’s remarks.
“Joe Biden called Trump supporters ‘garbage,’ and now Kamala’s top surrogate, Mark Cuban, insinuated female Trump supporters are ‘weak and dumb,'” Leavitt told the Fox News Digital network.
“This is extremely insulting to the thousands of women who work for President Trump and the tens of millions of women who are voting for him,” Leavitt told the audience. “These women are mothers, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders, and they are, indeed, strong and intelligent, despite what Mark Cuban and Kamala Harris say.”
Leavitt complained to Fox News Digital that the “joy at Kamala HQ has been replaced by division, vitriol, and a disturbing level of disrespect for the millions of Americans who are supporting President Trump after four years of destruction under Kamala Harris.”
“Women want a president who will secure our border, remove violent criminals from our neighborhoods, and put more money in our pockets—aand that’s exactly why we are supporting President Trump,” Leavitt told the audience. “Kamala Harris must immediately condemn Mark Cuban’s disrespectful insult to women.”
The Harris campaign did not immediately reply to a Fox News Digital request for comment.
The remark comes only days after President Biden reportedly referred to Trump supporters as “garbage.”
Biden talked with Voto Latino, one of the largest Latino voter and civic engagement organizations in the United States, via Zoom on Tuesday. Biden was questioned about a remark made by comedian Tony Hinchcliffe at a Trump rally in Madison Square Garden on Sunday, referring to Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage.”
Biden’s response: “The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters.”
The White House has now denied that Biden termed Trump supporters “garbage” and stated that the remark was taken out of context.
When asked about Biden’s remarks, Vice President Kamala Harris responded, “I strongly disagree with any criticism of people based on who they vote for.”
“I believe that the work that I do is about representing all the people, whether they support me or not,” Harris told the crowd. “And as president of the United States, I will be a president for all Americans, whether you vote for me or not.”
On Wednesday, Trump drove around in a “Make America Great Again” garbage truck, wearing a garbage worker’s high-visibility vest, to address fans at a Green Bay event.
“He called them garbage—and they mean it, even though, without question, my supporters are far higher quality than Crooked Joe and Lyin’ Kamala,” Trump addressed supporters Wednesday afternoon.
