Today, schools in Delhi face a bomb threat.
Several schools in Delhi-NCR got the bomb alarm via email. They have been evacuated, and the investigation is underway.
Multiple schools in Delhi-NCR got bomb threats via email on Monday, warning of explosives on their campuses, according to news agency ANI. The police have launched search operations in response to the notifications. According to preliminary investigations, many Delhi schools have received identical bomb threats via email.
According to NDTV, three schools have received bomb threats: Sanskriti School in Chanakyapuri, Mother Mary School in Mayur Vihar, east Delhi, and Delhi Public School in Dwarka.
According to authorities, all pupils have been evacuated and are being taken home for their own safety.
“Information was received about a bomb at Delhi Public School in Dwarka.” The Delhi Police, Bomb Disposal Squad, and fire tenders have arrived on the scene. “A search is underway,” Delhi Police said, per ANI.
The principal’s office of Delhi Public School in Noida published a statement claiming, “[School] has received an email that threatens the safety and security of the students.” As a precaution, we are returning the students home immediately.
Mother Mary’s School in East Delhi’s Mayur Vihar too got an email about a bomb. According to the Delhi Police, the school is now being evacuated, and a full inspection of the premises is being conducted.
Amity Pushp Vihar and Saket have also received bomb threats and have been evacuated per police directives. According to a school official, the school will be closed today until further orders.
“During the first inquiry, it appears that the mail has been sent to many locations since yesterday, and it appears to follow a consistent pattern. The date line is not specified, and BCC is given in the email, indicating that a single email was sent to many addresses. “An investigation is currently underway,” Delhi Police stated.
In February of this year, the Delhi Police opened a complaint in response to a bomb threat received at the Delhi Police School in RK Puram, the national capital.
Last May, the Delhi Public School on Mathura Road received an email containing a bomb threat. Police ruled the threat a fake after performing investigations and discovering nothing untoward.
