The Bajaj Freedom 125 will be a one-of-a-kind two-wheeler with a twin-tank setup—one for petrol and the other for CNG.
The CNG tank will be supported by circular bracing linked to the main frame beneath the fuel tank.
Bajaj Auto has unveiled the world’s first CNG motorbike, the Freedom 125, with a starting price of Rs 95,000 (ex-showroom India). The new model will be available in Maharashtra in the first phase, both at official dealerships and online, starting today.
The Bajaj Freedom 125 comes with two tanks: one for fuel and one for CNG. The business stated that the new model has many fuel options, including two different switches for gasoline and compressed natural gas (CNG).
Rajiv Bajaj, managing director of Bajaj Auto, presented the CNG bike in the presence of Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari in Pune. The business disclosed that the new model offers variable fuel options, including two separate switches for petrol and CNG.
The Freedom CNG bike will be available in three variants: drum, drum LED, and disc LED. While the Drum model is priced at Rs 95,000, the mid-range Drum LED variation costs Rs 1.05 lakh, and the top-end Disc LED variant costs Rs 1.10 lakh (all ex-showroom, India).
The Bajaj Freedom 125 will be driven by a 125-cc single-cylinder engine that can operate on both petrol and CNG, producing 9.5 PS of maximum power and 9.7 Nm of peak torque. The Pune-based business stated that this model had a mileage of 213 kilometers per kilogram of CNG.
