Samay, from Mountain Lakes, New Jersey, was a political science major and treasurer for Bucknell’s Phi Gamma Delta chapter. “It is with a sorrowful heart that I report the loss of a Bucknell student on campus today. Together, we mourn the death of Christian Samay ’24. This is an awful loss for the Bucknell community, and our thoughts are with Christian’s family and friends, said university President John Bravman.
Bravman confirmed that Samay’s death was not related to the false claim of an active shooter on campus the night before. He reiterated that there is no suspicion regarding Samay’s death.
