Al Safa Halal Grilled Chicken Seekh Kebab is being recalled due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
To date, the business has received no documented claims of disease associated with the intake of this product. Al-Safa US LLC is issuing the recall.
The recall includes about 2000 pounds of this product. The chicken is ready to be eaten. The frozen food was made in Canada on June 5, 2024, and imported into the United States between June 13 and 21, 2024. The recalled goods include:
12.1 ounce cardboard box packets of “Al Safa Halal Charcoal Grilled Chicken Seekh Kebab Grilled, Minced, Chicken Patty Kebab” with “NOV 30 25” and “0605404” printed on a sticker on the exterior of the packaging.
14.11-ounce cardboard box packets labeled “Al Safa Halal Fully Cooked Chicken Chapli Kebab Seasoned Chicken Patty” with the dates “NOV 30 25” and “0605416” on the outside of the product.
These objects bear the establishment number 866 imprinted within the Canadian mark of inspection. They were distributed to retail outlets around the country.
The USDA uncovered the issue during normal product testing. These tests revealed that the item may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes germs.
Please check your freezer to see whether you have purchased this item. If you did, don’t eat it. You can either toss it away in a safe garbage can with a tight-fitting lid or return it to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
