Schreiber Foods Inc., a dairy firm situated in Green Bay, Wisconsin, has recalled 836,721 units of cream cheese products due to Salmonella contamination. Several large food shops, such as Hy Vee, Kroger, and Aldi, distributed and sold the contaminated cream cheese.

According to a notification released by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the recall began on May 3, 2024, and is still ongoing. The recalled items were delivered in California, Florida, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin. The items were also sent to Puerto Rico.

Shortly after the original recall, Aldi, in collaboration with Schreiber Foods, Inc., recalled its Happy Farm cream cheese spreads due to an excess of caution. The precise goods are Happy Farms Whipped Cream Cheese Spread, Chive & Onion Cream Cheese Spread, Cream Cheese Spread, and Strawberry Cream Cheese Spread. The goods were available at certain ALDI locations across nearly thirty states.

Other brands affected by the May 3 recall include Dutch Farms, Fareway, Hy Vee, Kroger, Our Family, Schnuck, Essential Everyday, Dunkin, Piggly Wiggly, and Schreiber Foods cream cheeses.

Those who purchased any of the recalled items should destroy them immediately or return them for a full refund.
