ToggleThe Apple iPhone 16 series will be released sometime in the fall of 2024.
However, with only months to go, the Cupertino-based tech behemoth has suffered a significant setback, with recent leaks suggesting dramatic design modifications to the Apple iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max.
The disclosures were revealed in a post on X by none other than tipster Sonny Dickson, who also shared some photographs to back up his assertions.
Machined blanks
According to Forbes, the photographs show machined blanks, which are really given to peripheral makers. They provide manufacturers with precise instructions on how to develop covers and other accessories for these iPhones. These measurements must be precise in order to ensure a great fit when customers get them.
The leaked photographs show how far Apple has progressed in terms of redesign.
Action Button
Among the most notable modifications is the inclusion of the Action Button on all phones in the series. Last year, only the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max received them; the button replaced the traditional mute button. The new Action Button may be used as a single entry point to complete specified activities. This button will assist both end users and app developers by allowing them to modify their goods properly.
Aside from the Action button, there has been much speculation regarding the addition of a Capture button to iPhones in previous years. It is unclear what use it will serve, although it might be tied to the camera, according to another Apple leaker, Instant Digital.
Based on that, a Forbes report said that this button might provide a “manual focus lock and a camera shutter.”.
