ToggleHow to watch Warriors vs. Hornets
The Golden State Warriors will complete their back-to-back against the Charlotte Hornets on Friday. The game will start at 7:00 p.m. PT in San Francisco and will be broadcast on NBC Sports Bay Area.
Previously with the Warriors:
In their first game back from the week-long All-Star Break, Golden State defeated the Los Angeles Lakers by 128-110. Despite a close game, the Warriors’ firepower was too much for an undermanned Lakers team missing superstar forward LeBron James. Six Warriors scored in double figures, including rookie Trayce Jackson-Davis, who ranked third on the team with 17 points off the bench. Following the game, Jackson-Davis, who turned 24 on Thursday, attributed his performance against the Lakers to his relationship with Klay Thompson.
What to expect tonight:
The Hornets have struggled this season, now sitting 13th in the East with a 14-41 record. Their season has been marked by injuries, most notably the ankle injury suffered by former All-Star point player Lamelo Ball. Tonight marks Ball’s 13th consecutive game missing since incurring the injury in late January.
Having said that, Charlotte has been going upward recently. Their victory Friday night was their fourth in a row, as their overhauled team following this year’s trade deadline is showing indications of improvement.
Meanwhile, Golden State wants to maintain their success, having won nine of their past 11 games thanks to Stephen Curry’s great efforts. He entered the All-Star break on one of his career’s hottest shooting runs, becoming the only player in NBA history to hit at least seven three-pointers in four consecutive games. Curry continued to impress last night, scoring 32 points on 6-of-13 three-pointers. He also got his teammates involved, totaling eight assists on the night, including this no-look, behind-the-back dime to Andrew Wiggins in transition.
With tonight’s game against his hometown club and brother Seth Curry, the Warriors’ superstar is expected to lead the way once more and keep the positive emotions going.
It should be an entertaining game. Enjoy the basketball, Dub Nation. Go, Warriors!!!
