This strong start to the season has propelled Pachuca to sixth position in the Clausura standings, tied on nine points with fifth-placed Club Necaxa.
Club Leon lost 4-1 to Toluca at the Estadio Nemesio Díez last Saturday.
Bava’s men have now lost six of their previous seven matches across all competitions, drawing two and losing four, including a 1-0 loss to the Urawa Red Diamonds in their FIFA Club World Cup encounter on December 15.
Club Leon is presently 12th in the Clausura standings, tied for points with Santos Laguna and Puebla.
